We use email. Now thats supposed to be an ordinary statement right. Right??? But sorry that is no ordinary statement. E-mail was invented over 40 years ago and we are still using it. Its an antique. It should be in a musuem already. Na im just kiddin. Well maybe it should.

But come to think of it. We are still using a medium invented 40 years ago and we call this a technologically advanced age.

Now wait. Im blabbering about email, but what is this new wave about. Well google has an answer to everything. They decided email is too old. We need something new. Something cool.

They came up with Wave, Google Wave.

Google wave in a new communication service that integrates email and instant messaging together. This thing is called a wave. Now I know you are a bit confused. Just look at the video posted above and you'll be clear..


Google Wave has been designed by the founders of Where 2 Tech, Lars and Jens Rasmussen, a start-up acquired by Google to create a cutting-edge mapping service, which later became Google Maps and Stephanie Hannon.

Many of us hate the hassle of transferring photos from the camera to the laptop. First remove the card, put it on your computer, then transfer the photos, then again get it back to your camera. I know how much of a nightmare it is. Thats why I prefer keeping multiple cards.

Now some of us would be wondering if we could magically transfer the photos directly via bluetooth or internet or somehow to the laptop without having to do that much. We realize that it could happen somewhere in the future but not NOW...

Well its time to stop dreaming cuz you are in the future my friend.. Cuz here we have a normal SD card with gigabytes of storage with Wi-Fi integrated into it. Yes you heard me right Wi-Fi.

The Eye-Fi Card is a wireless memory card. By squeezing a Wi-Fi transmitter onto the main chip of a two-gigabyte memory card, Eye-Fi allows a camera to automatically beam photos to a computer or upload them to the Web. It can automatically upload pictures in JPEG format from a camera to photo sharing sites such as Flickr, Picasa, Facebook, PhotoBucket and may support youtube soon. It can also use Wi-Fi to find its location and geotag photos to display on a map.
